Getting There

By car: Evergreen Lodge sits just outside Yosemite's Big Oak Flat entrance on Highway 120. From the Bay Area it's roughly a 3.5–4 hour drive — take I-580 East to I-205, then follow Highway 120 East through Groveland to Evergreen Road. The last stretch is a winding mountain road, so allow extra time and fill up on gas before you start climbing.

By air: The easiest airports are Oakland (OAK) and San Francisco (SFO), each about a 3.5–4 hour drive to the lodge. You can also fly into Fresno Yosemite (FAT), which looks closer on a map — but flights into Fresno tend to be pricier and less frequent, so compare fares before you book. You'll want a rental car from whichever airport you choose.
